Drew Edsall

As a cycling, triathlon, and xterra coach, Drew Edsall successfully coaches athletes of all ages and abilities. He creates custom programs for all of his athletes and regularly performs Lactate Threshold/VO2 Max testing for anyone who is interested. His areas of specialty include mountain biking, xterra, and cyclo cross.

Prior to coaching, Drew studied at Gettysburg College where he received a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Sciences in 2004. He focused on strength and conditioning and interned with the strength and conditioning coach at James Madison University in 2003, where he worked with both division I athletes and professional football players. Drew also worked as a personal trainer in Gettysburg, PA, while attending college. As a personal trainer, he specifically worked with strength and conditioning for athletes between the ages of 12 and 18.

In addition to coaching, Drew Edsall is an accomplished professional mountain bike racer, xterra athlete, and cyclo cross racer. Within his first years of racing, his accomplishments include several top 3 finishes in Florida State Championship Pro/Cat 1 mountain bike races, a 1st place semi-pro National ranking in 2008, and Florida State cyclo cross Cat A champion in 2008. Drew also won his first Xterra in the summer of 2008 at the Xterra First Coast in Jacksonville, Florida.

While attending college, Drew also competed in track and field, where he was two time conference champion in the Decathlon. In 2004, he also became champion in the Pole Vault.

Custom program delivered in five-week blocks.
Monthly phone consultation and bi-weekly email access.

Standard weight training program.
Initial consultation to determine season goals and race plan for two main racing peaks.
Race strategy development, such as race nutritional plan, pacing, warm up plan, and equipment suggestion.
Development of heart rate training zones with field tests.
Discount on VO2 Max/Lactate threshold testing.
Monthly fee of $120 with a $125 start up fee.

Premium Coaching
 
Custom program delivered in one-week blocks with unlimited adjustments throughout the period.
Unlimited email and telephone communication.
Online training log included.
Quarterly dietary analysis and counseling.
Customized weight training program.
Initial consultation to determine season goals and race plan for unlimited number of races.
Pre and post race nutritional planning.
Race strategy development, such as race nutritional plan, pacing, warm up plan, and equipment recommendations.
Development of heart rate training zones with field tests.
Includes development of bike power meter training zones if available.
Includes VO2 Max/Lactate threshold testing twice per year if desired.
